In April 2011, Mayall all over again revived the character of Alan B'Stard to help make an appearance in a satirical television advertisement to the No2AV campaign just before the 2011 voting reform referendum in the united kingdom. The character is revealed being elected under the alternative vote system, then using his newly obtained placement of
